4th Online International Conference on Recycling and Waste Management

RECOVER ongoing research work will be presented at  4^th Online International Conference on Recycling and Waste Management, held from March 28-29, 2022.

The exhibition will give an overview of the valorisation of agri-food waste and by-products through a circular economy approach.

Today, in the EU, only 30% of waste plastic is recycled, while the rest is incinerated, disposed in landfills or released to the environment, inducing negative effect on it.

The conference will explain how the management of hardly recyclable plastic waste generated by light weight single use packaging and by agricultural films, can be improved by applying biotechnological approaches, combining microorganisms, new enzymes, earthworms, and insects to work collaboratively, not only to degrade plastics but also to transform them into added-value products.
